VACANCY - Web-content editor for Astro Oasis Indonesia

My office is looking for a web-content editor for our new Astro Oasis Indonesia website.

His/ her responsibilities are including preparing the content (text, still pictures, video-clips) of the website on regular basis, monitoring and moderating the interactive facilities (chat-room, Q&A, shot-box), monitoring the traffic and doing light-maintenance of the website. He/she reports to the channel head but will work closely with the channel's Promo Officer, On-air Promo department as well as the channel's acquisition manager & supervising producers.

He/ she is expected to:
- have great interest in Islam or Muslim issues, indicated by, among else, familiarity with the basic issues in Islam. Knowledge in topics such as Islamic fashion, culinary, home decoration, parenting and travelogue will be a plus point. Another plus point will be given to the ability to read in Arabic or educated in Arabic-language environment.
- able to write well in Indonesia and English (as the website has dual language service). Experience in writing for websites will be an advantage as well as understanding the basic principles of journalism. We will ask a copy of your recent writings in both languages for the interview session.
- able to work full time during weekdays in our office in Jakarta. Remote-working will be considered later based on the person's performance.
- able to work with team, with tight deadlines.

Please note that the person we are looking for is a content-person, rather than a technical-person. Knowledge in computer programming or web-designing will be considered as a relative advantage, while the ability to look for a good content and prepare it as a proper web content will be an absolute advantage. We encourage creativity and think-outside- the-box approach but we also appreciate discipline to meet the deadline and good communication to all directions.

He/ she will be contracted for a year with the option to work permanently afterward.
